Patna: In view of the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has increased the concern of RJD and Congress. The party has now taken a big step towards caste equation and has given an important place in organizational leadership to backward and extremely backward classes.

BJP’s new focus: backward and extremely backward classes

The BJP has preferred them in organizational positions along with increasing the participation of backward and extremely backward community in government schemes.

  • Leaders of backward-backward society in more than 50% districts:

    The party has given responsibility to backward-backward class workers on more than 50 percent district president posts in its organizational districts.

  • Caste balance:

    BJP has given priority to non-Yadav backward castes. Especially Vaishya, Koiri (Kushwaha), Dhanuk, Kurmi, and other backward castes are being strengthened in the organization.

Leading backward-backward class in more than 25 districts

Out of a total of 52 organizational districts of BJP, elections for the post of president have been completed in 46 districts. For the first time in more than 25 districts, workers of backward-backward society have been appointed as District President.

  • The party is planning to distribute tickets while maintaining the same caste balance in the assembly elections.
  • This will help the BJP to help the non-Yadav OBC vote bank.

Confusion about appointing district president in six districts

The BJP’s organizational elections have been over for a month, but still the district president has not been announced in six districts.

  • Patna (Metropolitan and Rural), Saharsa, Jamui, Nalanda and Jehanabad The appointment of presidents is pending.
  • The election of some mandal committees is also stuck.
