Shocker! Drunkards Assault Indore Sub-Inspector Calling Him ‘Fake’ & Record Video; Two Held, Paraded In Public | X
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore’s Banganga police, on Thursday, arrested two men for harassing a Sub-inspector on duty on Wednesday. The suspects were paraded in the area, where they were seen limping with visible injuries.
In fact, a video showing drunkards assaulting a police officer had surfaced on social media on Thursday. In the video, miscreants accused the cop of being a fake policeman and forcefully took him hostage in their car. When they took him to the police station to prove their claim, officers were left stunned.
Later, police registered a case against and arrested two, including a jail guard.
What was the matter?
According to information, the victim Sub-Inspector (SI) T. Ikka was on duty in the Bhonsala village under the Banganga police station area from Tuesday night (12 am) to Wednesday morning (8 am).
At around 5 am, a car carrying four men stopped near him and approached him. The men were heavily intoxicated and started abusing the SI, calling him a fake policeman. They recorded a video while assaulting him in the middle of the road, snatching his wireless set and cap.
Video viral on social media
The viral video on social media shows the drunk men grabbing the SI by his collar, dragging him around, and falsely accusing him of extorting money. The officer called for help, but no one came to his rescue.
The accused then forcefully took him in their car and drove towards the Banganga police station. As they neared the station, two of them jumped out and fled, but the police managed to catch the other two.
Banganga Police Station in-charge Siyaramsingh Gurjar, confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused Ravi, Vikas Dabi, Arvind, and Vikas for assault and obstructing a government official from duty.
Ravi and Vikas have been arrested, and further investigation is underway.
