Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): In a shocking incident, Javad Janpad Panchayat CEO Akash Dharve (32) was kidnapped by some people in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch district on Thursday morning, reportedly.
As soon as the Neemuch police received the information, they coordinated with Ujjain SP Pradeep Sharma and ordered checkpoints to be set up.
The police successfully intercepted a black scorpio near a Rajasthani Dhaba on the highway in Nagda and rescued the CEO.
A video of the incident has surfaced, showing police officers standing on the road to stop the black Scorpio. As the vehicle approaches, plain-clothes officers block the way and force it to stop.
According to Neemuch SP Naval Singh Sisodia, CEO Dharve’s brother informed about the abduction over a phone call in the morning. Later, he was rescued with the help of Nagda police.
Sisodia revealed that CEO Akash Dharve hails from Dhar district. In 2014, a marriage proposal was discussed between Dharve and a woman from Dhar, but the wedding did not happen. Later, Dharve secured a government job.
On Wednesday night, the woman, along with her family, reached Dharve’s residence in the Officer’s Colony in Neemuch’s Cantt police station area. They created a scene, after which the police intervened and calmed the situation.
The next morning, a group of people arrived at Dharve’s house and forcibly drove him away in a vehicle.
Dharve’s brother quickly informed the police about the kidnapping. The police, with the help of Nagda officers, intercepted the vehicle and safely rescued him.
Twelve people, including a tehsildar and five patwaris, have been booked at Neemuch Cantt police station.
Further investigation is underway.
