2025 till now has not been a fantastic year for Bollywood. Fateh, Emergency, Azaad, and Deva, all have turned out to be flops at the box office. The only saving factor till now has been Sky Force, but that is also not a hit yet because reportedly, the budget is around Rs. 160 crore. Now, February has started and in the first week itself, we have many interesting films releasing. While a couple of them are new releases, some are re-releases.

So, the new releases this week are Himesh Reshammiya starrer Badass Ravi Kumar and Juanid Khan and Khushi Kapoor starrer Loveyapa. If we talk about the pre-release buzz of these movies, Badass Ravi Kumar has grabbed the attention because of the dialogues in the trailer and the songs; and Junaid and Khushi’s film has been in the limelight as the actors have been promoting it everywhere, and even Aamir Khan has stepped into the promotions to support his son.

According to the advance bookings, for now, Badass Ravi Kumar is leading and it is expected to take a good start at the box office. Meanwhile, the advance booking for Loveyapa has started on a low note, and it all depends on word of mouth.

But, the twist in the tale is that re-releases like Interstellar and Sanam Teri Kasam are having better advance bookings. The audience has been waiting for the re-release of Interstellar, and in all four films, it is leading at the advance ticket sales. The Christopher Nolan directorial is followed by Sanam Teri Kasam which stars Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane. So, we won’t be surprised if the re-releases earn more than the new releases at the box office on day 1.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat is also re-releasing in theatres this week. However, there’s not much buzz about it.
