The budget marks a significant milestone in the journey toward achieving balanced economic development, supporting businesses, and enhancing the lives of every individual across the nation. A key priority is expanding social welfare programs aimed at supporting vulnerable communities, including increased funding for education, healthcare, and housing.
Measures like Bharatiya Bhasha Pustak Scheme, National Centres of Excellence for Skilling, Centre for Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Education, Broadband Connectivity in Primary Schools would immensely empower youth.
Regulatory reforms such as setting up of a High-Level Committee for review of non-financial sector regulations to strengthen trust-based governance, Jan Vishwas Bill 2.0 towards decriminalization of certain provisions under various laws, are commendable. Rationalization of requirements for speedy company mergers, rationalization of TDS/TCS, measures for encouraging voluntary compliance reflects bringing a lot of business ease.
Further the scheme for first time entrepreneurs, PM research fellowship, private sector driven research would foster innovation. The proposal to introduce new income tax bill is also a welcome step.
