Bollywood actress and Kajol’s younger sister Tanishaa Mukerji is getting brutally trolled after videos of her Maha Kumbh snan surfaced on social media. The actress, who took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, shared glimpses of her visit on Instagram. However, her actions during the ritual have not gone down well with a section of social media users, who accused her of treating the spiritual event like a film shoot.
In the viral videos, Tanishaa is seen wearing a red saree as she takes a dip in the sacred waters. In one particular clip, someone is heard asking her to take another dip, to which she responds, “No, it’s very shallow.”
However, moments later, before posing for the camera, she is heard saying, “Okay, one more time,” before taking another dip. “Did you get that?” she asked the person recording her video.
This sequence of events led to criticism from netizens, who claimed she was performing for the camera rather than genuinely taking a holy dip.

Netizens took to social media to express their disappointment, reminding the actress that the Maha Kumbh is a spiritual and sacred event, not a ‘film set’. Many users accused her of ‘dramatising’ the ritual and undermining its sanctity.

“Kya aap puja karna gya ho ya movie ka shooting karna ko?” asked another user.

With social media amplifying every moment, celebrities participating in such events often find themselves under intense scrutiny.
