Delhi Assembly Elections: Voting is going on in all 70 seats for the assembly elections in Delhi. Voting is going on peacefully amid tight security. In some places the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party are accusing each other of rigging. Meanwhile, there was an uproar at a booth in Seilampur for a while. There was an uproar over the allegation that women wearing burqas are fake voters. However, the police overcame the situation in time.
Uproar during election
BJP workers alleged that fake voting is being conducted by bringing women from outside and wearing a burqa. BJP workers were standing in front of the booth and shouting slogans. After this, the Aam Aadmi Party and BJP workers came face to face. The commotion started when the women alleged that when they reached to vote, they came to know that someone had already cast his vote in his name. BJP supporters claimed that people were being brought from Loni in Uttar Pradesh adjacent to Seilampur seat and they were being forced to vote by wearing a burqa.
The police took the front.
BJP workers started shouting slogans alleging. Supporters of the Aam Aadmi Party also came forward. Slogans started coming from both sides. The uproar increased so much that voting had to be stopped for some time. Seeing the situation deteriorating, the police immediately took the front. The situation became normal after a few minutes.
Aam Aadmi Party accused of disturbance
Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party had also accused some seats of irregularities. The Aam Aadmi Party accused Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh of distributing money near the head of the nation. Apart from this, BJP was also accused of distributing money near a booth in Jangpura. AAP Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed that Aam Aadmi Party supporters are being prevented from reaching polling stations in his constituency.
