A shootout at a cosmetics warehouse in US state of Ohio has claimed one life and has injured five others, said local media citing official. The victims of the shooting that took place on Tuesday night (February 4, local time), in New Albany in Ohio were taken to hospital. At the time of publishing of this story, the shooter was not apprehended by the police. Local news reports said that the shooter was no longer believed to be in the building where the tragedy took place.

New Haven Register, a US news outlet, reported that police had described the incident as “targeted type of attack”.

“We have a person of interest and we’re looking to locate them and bring them into custody,” said New Haven Police Chief Greg Jones, as quoted by the news outlet.

The shooting at the cosmetics warehouse led the authorities to evacuate about 150 people to a neighbouring building.

Last month, five people, including a student and a teacher were killed in a shooting at a school in Wisconsin. Two more students were injured in the incident. The shooting occurred at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, the capital of the state of Wisconsin.

The police officials who rushed to the scene found that the shooter was a 17-year-old female student. The police told media that the shooter committed suicide.
