If you are fond of eating non -veg and want to try something new, then spicy chicken embers are a great option for you. This recipe becomes special due to its smokey flavor and spicy taste. You can serve chicken ego with bread, naan or rice. This wonderful dish can also be included in the menu of the house party, because everyone likes its taste from children to elders. If you also want to make chicken eggs like restaurant at home, then definitely try this easy recipe.

Materials required to make chicken ember

1. To marinate chicken:

  • 1 kg chopped chicken pieces
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • ½ cup fried onion
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • ½ cup grated tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • ½ tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp kasoori fenugreek

2. To roast and grind:

  • 1 tbsp of whole coriander
  • 1 teaspoon whole pepper
  • 2 inch cinnamon piece
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 10 whole dry red chili

3. For Gravy:

  • 3 tablespoons ghee
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 whole bay leaf
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 2 big cardamom

4. For dum (smoking):

  • 1 charcoal
  • 1 teaspoon ghee

Recipe

1. Mernet the chicken:

  • Add chicken and all marinational ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
  • Cover the bowl and marinate for at least 1 hour, so that the spices go to the inside.

2. Fry masala and make powder:

  • In a pan, fry coriander, black pepper, cinnamon, cumin and dry red chili on medium flame.
  • After cooling the spices and put it in a grinder and make fine powder.

3. Prepare chicken gravy:

  • Heat ghee and oil in a large pan.
  • Add bay leaves, cloves and large cardamom to hot oil and fry for a few seconds.
  • After this add marinated chicken and prepared masala powder.
  • Cook on low flame for 40-45 minutes, keep stirring in between so that the spices mix well.
  • Check the salt and adjust according to the taste.

4. Dum (smoking) process:

  • Heat a piece of coal until it turns red on the gas.
  • Now place a small steel bowl in the middle of the chicken pan and add hot coal to it.
  • Put 1 teaspoon of ghee over the coal and immediately cover the pan with a lid.
  • After 5 minutes, remove the lid and remove the coal.

5. Garnish and serve:

  • Garnish the chicken ember by adding chopped green coriander.
  • Serve it with hot bread, naan or rice.
