A youth was shot dead late Monday night in Bihar’s Gaya. The incident occurred during a tilak ceremony where the man was dancing on stage among orchestra girls. During this time, a person sitting in the crowd below pulled out a pistol and fired three rounds. One bullet hit 27-year-old Anjani Kumar in the head, and he fell on stage.
A video of the fatal shooting has surfaced online, which shows bullets being fired at the Anjani while he was giving money to the dancers on the stage. After being hit by the bulleng, Anjani collapses on the stage.
The deceased’s family alleges that Anjani was killed due to political rivalry. They have accused Pintu Sharma and Mahesh Sharma, the head of Angrahi Panchayat in Daudnagar, of the shooting. Family members allege that Anjani had supported a candidate in the PACS election, which angered opponents who orchestrated this murder. After the murder, the accused fled the scene.
Police have launched hunt for the accused. The incident reportedly took place in Tuturkhi village under the Konch police station area in Gaya district. Anjani Kumar was a resident of Pali village in Konch.
According to report, after being alerted about the incident, the Konch Station House Officer rushed to the crime scene with his team at 3:45 am. An FSL and technical team was also called for investigation. Taking the case seriously, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya, has directed the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Tikari, to inspect the scene and formed a special team under their leadership.
The Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Tikari said that a special team would be formed to investigate all aspects to determine the cause of the murder thoroughly of murder. They assured that the case would be solved soon and the criminals involved would be arrested.
