Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Two schools in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore received bomb threats on Tuesday at around 6 am, following which, the schools were immediately evacuated, as reported by police.

According to Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya, “Two schools in Indore, New Digamber Public School (NDPS) in Khandwa and Indore Public School (IPS) in Rau, received a bomb threat at 8:54 am on Tuesday after which the schools were evacuated.”

“Following the threats, both the schools were investigated, however, no sort of danger was discovered at both the schools. All the children and teachers are safe and we are looking into the source of the threats at present,” Dandotiya added.

According to information, the two schools received threats through a mail on Tuesday, following which, the students were suddenly sent home.

The police took control of the situation and thoroughly searched every area, but nothing suspicious was found. 

Additional DCP Crime Branch Rajesh Dandotiya stated that the email was received in the Tamil language and is being translated into Hindi and English. The email claimed that RDX had been planted in the school and that the entire building would be blown up at 1:30 pm. 

The email was sent from the address [email protected] and contained some words in Tamil language as well.

The police have taken the matter under control and are investigating at present.
