Delhi assembly elections are just a few hours away. Voting will be held on 5 February and the results will be declared on 8 February. Voters will decide whose government will come in the Delhi Assembly. So if you want to vote then you have to have a voting identity card. Many voters think that if they do not have a voter ID card, they cannot vote. But this is not true. There are many documents through which you can vote.

These documents are important

Voters can vote without an identity card. The Election Commission has also made alternative arrangements for this. The Election Commission has set 11 documents that you can cast your vote by showing it at the time of voting. If you do not have any identity card for this, it will work. So let’s know what these documents are.

One of the 11 documents required

One of the 11 documents specified by the Election Commission is necessary for voting. This includes passport, PAN card, driving license, Aadhaar card, post office and passbook, MNREGA job card issued by the bank. Apart from this, health insurance card issued by the Ministry of Labor, your photo certified pension card can also be used for voting.

According to the Election Commission, the smart card issued by the National Population Register (NPR) and the official identity cards issued by MPs/MLAs/MLC can also be voted. Apart from this, if you are an employee of the Central or State Government or PSU and Public Limited Companies, then you can also vote on the basis of photo ID of the company.

The Zerox machine will not work.

Keep in mind that you should not forget to take any of these documents with you. The original document is required. Not Zerox. If you have any question or problem related to voting, then you can find a solution to your problem by talking to the polling staff posted at the polling station.
