Mumbai: Informa Markets is gearing up to host the third edition of Vitafoods India from February 5 to 7, 2025 in Mumbai. Bringing together leaders, influencers, and decision-makers from the nutraceutical, functional food, and dietary supplement industries, this event promises to be a dynamic platform for collaboration and innovation.
With India’s nutraceutical market projected to grow from USD 4 billion in 2020 to USD 18 billion by 2025, Vitafoods India will serve as a critical hub for distributors, procurement managers, product developers, regulatory professionals, and R&D experts.
This year, Vitafoods India will host 136 domestic and 23 international exhibitors, alongside 19 plus educational sessions featuring over 35 expert speakers who will provide insights into the sector’s growth and trends.
Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, highlighted the nutraceutical sector’s rapid growth, driven by evolving consumer preferences and increasing health consciousness. “The demand for solutions addressing heart health, obesity, and immune-boosting supplements like vitamins and herbal extracts has been rising significantly. In India, where the population is 1.4 billion, the percentage of regular nutraceutical users grew from 37 percent in 2019 to 39 percent in 2023, adding 28 million new consumers. This growth emphasises the importance of quality, safety, and accurate labelling. Vitafoods India is at the forefront of fostering collaboration, showcasing innovation, and advancing key trends in this vibrant market,” said Mudras.
Adding to this, Nilesh Lele, President of the Chamber for Advancement of Small & Medium Businesses (CASMB), shared, “Increasing consumer awareness and health-focused initiatives are fuelling unprecedented expansion. Vitafoods India plays a transformative role in connecting industry professionals and driving business opportunities. It’s a privilege to participate in this landmark event.”
The event is supported by several key associations, including the Association of Herbal and Nutraceutical Manufacturers of India (AHNMI), the Association of Food Scientists & Technologists India (AFSTI) – Mumbai Chapter, CASMB, the Global Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), the Health Foods and Dietary Supplements Association (HADSA), SHEFEXIL (Shellac and Forest Products Export Promotion Council), and Women in Nutraceuticals (WIN). Vitamin Angels India will continue its role as the official Cause Partner, focusing on combating childhood malnutrition through innovative nutrition solutions.
