Mumbai: A viral video circulating on social media shows an Uber driver allegedly under the influence while driving in Mumbai. The footage, posted by Mumbai News on X, captures the driver struggling to speak clearly as he navigates traffic in the Bandra area. The passenger, who recorded the incident, repeatedly questioned the driver about whether he was drunk or simply exhausted.
In the video, the driver appears unable to respond properly. When pressed further, he denied being intoxicated, claiming instead that he was extremely tired after starting his shift early in the morning. The passenger can be heard warning him that driving while fatigued is equally dangerous and poses a serious risk to passengers’ safety.
The post also alleges that Uber’s customer support failed to assist the passenger. Instead of addressing the issue, the company reportedly advised the passenger to cancel the trip and still pay for it. There has been no official confirmation of when the incident occurred or whether any action has been taken against the driver.
Woman Abuses, Thrashes Ola Cab Driver At Airport
Meanwhile, another shocking incident at Mumbai Airport recently went viral, where a woman was caught on camera assaulting an Ola cab driver. The video, widely shared on social media on January 23, shows the woman aggressively chasing the driver, verbally abusing him, and physically attacking him with kicks and punches.
According to reports, the altercation began after the woman missed her flight and blamed the cab driver for her delay. Instead of accepting responsibility for leaving late, she lashed out at him in public. The driver, visibly distressed, attempted to escape her relentless assault, but she continued to chase and strike him on the road.
Mumbai Traffic Police acknowledged the viral clip and urged citizens to report the incident to the nearest police station. However, authorities have yet to confirm whether the woman has been identified or if any legal action has been taken against her.
