Piplia Mandi (Madhya Pradesh): A 17-year-old girl of class XI studying in CM Rise School was killed when the bus driver took a reverse turn in the school premises in Gurjarbardia village of Malhargarh assembly constituency.
As per reports, the incident took place in the school premises on Friday afternoon when the deceased identified as Neha Mali of class XI was crushed by the school bus when driver Pushkar Kumawat of Lodhi, was taking a reverse turn. The girl in an injured state, was rushed to Mandsaur District Hospital.
However, she succumbed to her injuries. As soon as the deceased’s family members came to know about the incident, they created a major uproar as irked family members and farmer leaders including Mahendra Singh Gurjar, Shyamlal Jokchand and others reached Mandsaur Hospital and refused to get the post-mortem done.
Farmer leader Gurjar and Jokchand alleged that the buses of CM Rise School are being driven by untrained drivers. Additionally, they alleged lack of strict action by the school management. They demanded a financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh for the deceased’s family. They also alleged that government schools are at the mercy of God.
On the other hand, the family alleged that despite their house being near the school wall, they were not informed about the incident and Neha was directly taken to hospital. They stated that they received information about her death an hour later.
On receiving information, Mandsaur SDM Shivlal Shakya, CSP Satnam Singh and district panchayat president Basant Sharma also reached the spot and assured protesting leaders and family members that the matter will be thoroughly investigated and action will be taken against responsible persons.
After their assurance, family members gave their approval for conduction of post-mortem. Giving assurance to family members, SDM Shakya said that Rs 6 lakh will be provided to them. Moreover, he said that he would also send proposal to the CM for additional financial aid of Rs 10 lakh.
