Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh starrer Mere Husband Ki Biwi has been in the pipeline for the past few years. The movie had started rolling in 2022, and now, after three years it is all set to hit the big screens. Earlier, there were reports that the movie is titled Meri Patni Ka Remake, but just a few days ago, the makers announced the title as Mere Husband Ki Biwi.
Today, the trailer of the film was launched in movie, and it was attended by Arjun, Bhumi, and Rakul. The film is produced by Pooja Entertainment and directed by Mudassar Aziz.
Pooja Entertainment took to Instagram to share the trailer, and wrote, “Get ready for the biggest madness of this season, kyuki yeh love triangle nahi, full circle hai! #MereHusbandKiBiwi Trailer Out Now!”
Well, the trailer of the film is impressive and has some good moments that will make you laugh. The makers have smartly editted the trailer and it starts with taking a dig at all three leads.
It shows Bhumi and then there’s voiceover which says, “Yeh commercial filmo mein bas patni hie ban paayi hai.” Then they show Rakul, and the voiceover says, ‘Yeh sirf sexy hone ke alawa aur kuch nahi hai.”
Finally, Arjun’s character is introduced with the most hilarious voiceover, “Aur inki beech fasa hai yeh launda. Chale bete expression dikhao. Jackpot! Lagta hai launde ne mehnat ki hai.”
The trailer reveals that the movie revoles around these three characters, Ankur, Prablin, and Antara. Ankur and Prablin were married, but they get divorced. Ankur is dating Antara, but Prablin suffers from retrograde amnesia, and she has forgotten everything. So, starts a battle between Prablin and Antara to get Ankur.
While Arjun, Bhumi, and Rakul are good in the trailer, it is Harsh Gujral who steals the show in the trailer with his performance. Of course, he has been given some of the best one liners that make us laugh out loud, especially at the end of the trailer.
So, Mere Husband Ki Biwi looks like a good rom-com, and as it is directed by Mudassar Aziz, we surely have high expectations from it. The filmmaker has always impressed us with his movies, and just last year made us laugh out loud with Khel Khel Mein. The movie is slated to release on 21st Feb 2025.
