Actress Shilpa Shirodkar was seen in the reality show Bigg Boss 18, gained attention for her close ‘maa-bete’ relationship with Vivian Dsena and Karan Veer Mehra. Recently, she opened up about why her brother-in-law, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, did not support her publicly during her time on the show, that could have helped her secure a win.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Shilpa said that Mahesh is a ‘reserved’ person and that relationships should not be defined by the posts shared on social media. “I went into the house for who I am, and not as Namrata’s sister, or Mahesh’s sister-in-law. Of course, he is a superstar and popular, but that doesn’t mean he has to be part of my career, right?” asked Shilpa.

She added, “Mahesh and Namrata are very reserved people, and the world is quick to label them arrogant. Mahesh is reserved, but a very nice person. He is very very cool. Of course, he is very reserved, but he is always there. If you need anything, he will be there for you.”

Further, Shilpa also denied rumours of a feud with Namrata over her Bigg Boss stint, and clarified that there was no conflict between them. She shared that it was Namrata who actually supported the idea of Bigg Boss when she was with her in Hyderabad.

“She coordinated a lot of things. Just like how I am close with Sitara, and can say anything that Namrata can’t, she became that aunt to my daughter Anushka, when I was inside the house. My family is extremely proud of me, especially for staying that long in the house, and they are the happiest,” added Shilpa.
