India defeated England by nine wickets in the second semi-finals of the Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup and made it to the finals. Now the Indian team will take on South Africa in the final. India limited England to 113 for eight in 20 overs with the brilliant bowling of Parunika Sisodia and Vaishnavi Sharma. In response, India achieved the target 30 balls in advance with the best batting of G. Kamalini (56 not out) and G. Trisha (35).

Chasing a target of 114 runs, India’s opening pair, G Kamalini and G. Trisha shared a 60 -run partnership for the first wicket. However, in the ninth over, Fobe Brett broke the partnership by dismissing G. Trisha. Zee Trisha scored 35 runs with five fours in 29 balls.

After this, Sanika Chalke, who came to bat, made a brilliant partnership with Zee Kamalini towards victory. Both of them won the team by scoring 117 runs for one wicket in 15 overs. Zee Kamalini scored an unbeaten 56 runs in 50 balls with eight fours, while Sanika Chalke remained unbeaten on 11 runs.

Earlier, the England team won the toss and decided to bat first. Jemima Spens and Davina Perin added 37 runs for the first wicket, but in the fifth over, Parunika Sisodia bowled Jemima Spens (9) to give India the first success. Sisodia also bowled Trudei Johnson (0) on the next ball.

Captain Abi Norgrove then handled the innings with Davina Perin, and the two shared a 44 -run partnership for the third wicket. But in the 12th over, Ayushi Shukla bowled Davina Perin and gave India a third success. Parin scored 45 runs in 40 balls with six fours and two sixes. After this, England soon lost two wickets.

Seven England batsmen could not reach the double figures in front of the brilliant performance of the Indian bowlers. Abi Norgrove scored 30 runs in 25 balls with three fours and a six. England scored 113 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs, and Amu Surerankumar remained unbeaten on 14 runs. For India, Parunika Sisodia and Vaishnavi Sharma took three wickets each, while Ayushi Shukla dismissed two batsmen.
