The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) also declared the success percentage figure on Thursday, a few days after the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024 results were released. According to the CTET December result, 24.17% candidates were successful in Paper 1, while only 12.31% in Paper 2 passed the exam. The CTET exam was held on 14 and 15 December 2024 at various examination centers across the country. The results of the CTET were published on 8 January 2025 on the official website ctet.nic.in. CBSE also said that the marksheets and certificates of candidates will soon be made available on Digilocker. Candidates can download it using their mobile number, as given in their online application form.
CTET December 2024 exam data:
- A total of 6,86,197 candidates registered in Paper 1, out of which 5,72,489 candidates took the exam and 1,38,389 candidates passed.
- In Paper 2, 13,62,884 candidates registered, 11,36,087 took the exam and 1,39,888 candidates were successful.

Validity of CTET certificate There is life for all categories. Candidates can take the exam many times without any restriction. If the candidate qualifies, he can take the exam again to improve his score.
CTET minimum passing marks:
- General category: At least 90 points of 150 (60%)
- SC/ST: At least 82 points out of 150 (55%)
CTET exam conduct process:
CBSE conducts CTET exam twice every year – first exam in July and second exam in December.
- Successful candidates in Paper-1 will be eligible for teacher recruitment from class 1 to 5.
- Successful candidates in Paper-2 will be eligible for teacher recruitment for classes 6 to 8.
Candidates who have passed the CTET exam can apply for appointment of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, and Army Schools.
