Adani Electricity, Adani Foundation and MAVIM initiated Swabhimaan, CSR project’s, two Enterprises Self-Help Groups(ESHGs) — Savitri ESHG and Jijau ESHG, both based in Malad — under the Samrudhi Community Managed Resource Centre (CMRC), recently received a loan cheque of ₹8.5 lakh. The cheque was handed over in the presence of Ms. Aditi Tatkare, Minister of Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra, during the 10th Anniversary celebration of the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Scheme. The loan will support these ESHGs in expanding their businesses, furthering their financial independence. As part of the Swabhimaan CSR project, Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation are empowering 4,000 underprivileged women by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities.
