Today the budget session has started. Prime Minister Modi addressed the nation before the budget session begins. After this, President Draupadi Murmu is now addressing both houses of Parliament on Friday. The budget session will be held in two phases from 31 January to 4 April. The first phase of the session will end on 13 February and the second phase will begin on 10 March.
Mahakumbh expressed grief on stampede
President Draupadi Murmu has started addressing the joint session of Parliament. The President expressed grief over the accident on Mauni Amavasya in Mahakumbh and expressed condolences to the dead. The President also expressed grief over the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
‘A lot of work for the middle class’
The President said that my government has recently decided to set up the Eighth Pay Commission. Under the Integrated Pension Scheme, it has been decided to give 50 percent pension to employees. The government is also committed to fulfilling the dream of its middle class’s home. RERA law has been enacted and people are being subsidized on houses. The Udaan plan has fulfilled people’s dream of air travel. The middle class has also benefited from the increase in the number of seats for the study of each subject.
‘Women empowerment is being promoted’
The President said that more than 10 crore women in the country are associated with voluntary organizations and the number of millionaires is also increasing continuously. A few months ago, insurance Sakhi Abhiyan was also launched. Friends of our banking and digital payments are transporting the benefits of digital schemes to far-flung areas. Drone Didi Yojana has become the medium of economic and technical empowerment of women. Today women are flying fighter aircraft and even holding leadership positions in the corporate sector. Our daughters are also illuminating the name of the country by winning medals in the Olympics.
From startups to space, youth are making the country proud
President Murmu said, ‘Today our youth are making the country proud from startups to space. In the last decade, many opportunities have been provided to the youth through Make in India, Startup India and Stand Up India schemes. Experience is being provided through the Internship Scheme. Today millions of startups are running in the country. India is also a leader in the world in adopting AI and digital technology. My government is preparing modern courses for students. Education facilities are being provided in the mother tongue. Atal laboratories have been opened in more than ten thousand schools. A lot of work has been done to make research easier.
