Sugar-Free Materials required to make Amla Marmalade

  • Amla – 500 grams
  • Thread Mishri – 500 grams
  • Cardamom Powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Black salt – 4 teaspoons
  • Saunth powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Water – as per need

Method of making gooseberry marmalade without sugar and jaggery

  1. Wash the gooseberry and soak it in water overnight.
  2. The next morning, wipe the gooseberry with a cloth and dry it with a spoon with thorny spoon.
  3. Heat water in a vessel and add gooseberry to it and boil it on medium flame for 7-8 minutes. When the gooseberry becomes mild soft, take them out of the water.
  4. Now grind the thread sugar candy with a cylinder or silbatta and make fine powder in the mixer.
  5. Add sugar candy powder and boiled amla on low flame of gas in a pan.
  6. Mix a little water and stir with light hands, so that the sugar candy dissolves well.
  7. Cover the pan and cook on a low flame for 40-50 minutes, keep stirring the marmalade in between.
  8. When the marmalade is ready, add black salt, cardamom powder and dry ginger powder and mix.
  9. After cooling, store it and enjoy healthy marmalade.
