Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Union Budget is going to be presented on February 1. People from all walks of life especially real estate, traders and employees have their wish list.

Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) has demanded promotion of affordable housing by reducing of GST from 5% to 3% on affordable housing, status of infrastructure or industries be given to real estate.

Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has demanded better logistic warehousing system and multi-model logistic parks. Salaried employees have demanded relaxation in tax slab.

Tax relaxation on housing loans should be extended from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. Cement GST should be reduced from 28% to 18%. Low-cost credit line should be for real estate. There must be uniform stamp and registration duty in the country. Budgetary allocation should be for PMAY

Railway freight should be reduced to benefit MSME and retail. Direct train connectivity should be from Bhopal to metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru for promotion of trade. Dedicated freight corridors should be promoted for benefit of small and medium traders

30% slab which begins from Rs 15 lakh should be extended up to Rs 20 lakh. Railway relaxation be given to senior citizens. General compartments should be increased in interest of common man. Income tax (I-T) limit should be increased considering inflation. GST concession which is for 20 lakh service sectors should be for 40 lakh service sectors

Standard deduction of Income tax should be increased. Medical insurance should be outside income tax net. Ayushman limit be extended up to Rs 10 lakh from Rs 5 lakh. Electronic vehicles should be promoted for environment protection. Mudra-loan ambit should also be extended

We have demanded 10% exemption in tax slab. Currently, it is up to Rs 7 lakh and it should be up to Rs 10 lakh. Similarly, Old Pension Scheme should be restored. Increment should be made on the basis of 2024 Index. There must be special package state-wise. The government should lift ban from promotions
