The registration period for the January 2025 admission cycle for a number of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programs at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will end on January 31. On the same day, continuing students’ chance for re-registration will also close.

Interested candidates can apply via the official websites, ignou.ac.in or ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, for undergraduate, graduate, diploma, and doctoral programs.

How to apply:

Step 1: Visit the official IGNOU admissions website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Step 2: Click the link to register as a new user, or enter your login credentials if you are currently a user.

Step 3: Fill out the application form with correct personal, academic, and contact details.

Step 4: Select the program you wish to enrol in from the list of available courses.

Step 5: Upload the required documents, including scanned copies of your diplomas, photo, and signature.

Step 6: Pay the fee of the application.

Step 7: Examine your application thoroughly, then send it in.

Step 8: Download and print a copy of the confirmation page for your records.

The following documents must be submitted in order to apply for admission to IGNOU in 2025:

Educational certificates include bachelor’s degree certificates and marksheets, high school (10th) certificates and marksheets, and higher secondary (12th) certificates and marksheets.

Photo ID Proof: A legitimate photo ID proof, like a voter ID card, driver’s license, or passport.

Current Passport-Sized Photos: A couple of current passport-sized photos.

Category Certificate: a SC/ST/OBC category certificate, if applicable.

IGNOU

IGNOU provides more than 200 courses in a variety of subject areas, including undergraduate, graduate, diploma, and certificate programs. The candidate’s final scores on their qualifying tests determine most admissions. However, several programs, including Post-Basic BSc Nursing, MPhil, PhD, and B Ed, require applicants to take entrance tests.
