Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Four people died and two others were injured during a violent clash in Jabalpur’s Patan area. The incident took place on Sunday in the Timri village of the area. Reportedly, the clash was fueled by an old enmity between two families, Pathak and Sahu, over gambling.

The conflict escalated when members of the two families came face-to-face in a confrontation that had been brewing for two months. Police have been informed about the same and they have filed a cross FIR against both the acussed parties. Multiple police personnell have been deployed in the area to maintain peace.

According to information, the deceased have been identified as Satish Pathak, Manish Pathak, Aniket Dubey, and Sameer Dubey. Those injured include Bipin Dubey and Mukesh Dubey, who are currently undergoing treatment. According to sources, the clash began with a usual abusing and shouting at one another on Sunday in an open field when two members of the opposite families came face-to-face. The conflict escalated when one of the family members physically attacked a member of the opposite family. Angry, Pathak family member called up his aides and the clash turned violent.

As soon as the nearby villagers got to know about the clash, they informed the police. Police personnell from multiple police stations have been deployed in the area to control the situation. They have further filed a cross FIR against both the parties and further investigation into the matter is underway.
