Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A video showing a minor boy being held hostage and brutally beaten with belts, slippers, and slaps has surfaced on social media on Monday. The video is said to emerge from area of Dabra, Gwalior.

The video shows one boy holding the victim’s hands while two others mercilessly lash him with belts. The victim can be heard repeatedly saying he has done nothing wrong. Abusive language is also audible in the background. The incident came to light on Monday, and an FIR was registered on the matter on Sunday late night.

According to information, the 17-year-old victim is a resident of Sai Vihar Colony in Dabra and a Class 10 student. He lodged a complaint with the police on Sunday night after being assaulted.

Victim was called on pretext of surprise

According to the victim, he received a phone call from a friend who asked him to come to the 18 Bigha area, saying there was a surprise planned. When the boy reached the location, no one was there. Shortly after, the caller arrived with three other boys.

One of them confronted the victim, accusing him of talking to his sister over the phone. Despite the victim denying the allegation, the group began hurling abuses and attacked him.

The accused took the victim to the house of the boy who accused him. There, they continued to beat him mercilessly. One boy held his hands, another slapped him multiple times, and even hit him with a slipper. Two others repeatedly whipped his back with belts. One of the attackers recorded the entire assault, which lasted for over a minute.

Victim and accused both are minor 

After the assault, the attackers threatened the victim, warning him not to speak about the incident or talk to the sister again. They even threatened to kill him if he revealed the truth.

The video, which is 1 minute and 22 seconds long, has since gone viral on social media. In the video, the victim can be seen pleading and insisting that he hasn’t done anything wrong.

Dabra Dehat Police Station in-charge, Anurag Prakash, said that both the victim and the accused are minors. A case has been registered, and the accused have been summoned for questioning. The matter is currently under investigation.
