Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): An 80-year-old woman’s naked body was found lying in the bathroom of a primary school in Ratlam on Friday.
The incident is of the Shivgarh police station area of Ratlam.
The victim, identified as Sajanbai, had injuries on her head, and her eyes were swollen.
According to information, her body was discovered between 6 and 7 AM on Friday, lying in an unclothed state.
Sajanbai’s clothes were found along the path between her house and the school, suggesting that she had been dragged to the bathroom after being killed at another location.
Police, led by ASP Rakesh Khakha, FSL officer Dr Atul Mittal, and other officials, arrived at the scene. They also called in a dog squad, which led them to Sajanbai’s home.
A post-mortem examination confirmed head injuries, likely caused by a blunt object, which indicated that the cause of death was a hit to her head with heavy object.
Sajanbai’s daughter-in-law, Geetabai, said that Sajanbai had gone to bed between 8 and 9 PM on Thursday. When she didn’t find her the next morning, she searched the house and eventually found the body in the school bathroom.
The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
