Gallantry Award List: Republic Day will be celebrated across the country tomorrow on 26th January. Now bravery awards have been announced on the occasion of Republic Day. This year, 942 soldiers will be honored with medals on Republic Day. A total of 942 personnel from police, fire, home guards and civil defense and correctional services will be honored with gallantry and service awards in various categories. Of these medals, 95 are gallantry medals.
The Union Home Ministry has said that the awardees include police, fire brigade, home guards and civil defense personnel and employees working in correctional services.
Salute to the soldiers who attacked Naxalism and terrorism
Among the gallantry award winners, 28 soldiers posted in Left Wing Extremism affected areas, 28 soldiers posted in Jammu and Kashmir, 3 soldiers in North East and 36 soldiers posted in other areas will be honored for their bravery.
President’s Award for distinguished service to 101 soldiers
Many soldiers will be awarded President’s Medal for distinguished service. It is known as the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service. The list of recipients of this award includes the names of 101 PAC, 85 Police Services, 05 Fire Services, 07 Civil Defense-Home Guards and 04 Correctional Services personnel. A total of 634 awards will be given to Police Service, 37 to Fire Service, 39 to Civil Defence-Home Guard and 36 to Correctional Service.
