An interesting incident came to light in this match on Friday, when Mumbai batsman Ajinkya Rahane was called five minutes after being dismissed to play from the dressing room. The third umpire reported that the bowler threw a no ball.
The incident occurred in the 25th over of Mumbai’s second innings. Omar Nazir of Jammu and Kashmir dismissed Rahane for the first time. However, the drama started after Rahane was dismissed. Rahane returned to the dressing room, and Shardul Thakur came to the crease as the next batsman, but the umpire did not check no ball.
Actually, it took some time to load the replay after Rahane was dismissed. When the third umpire confirmed that the bowler crossed the line, the on-field umpire asked Thakur to return and called Rahane again to play.
