Actor Saif Ali Khan was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital in the wee hours of January 16 after he was attacked by an intruder at his Bandra residence. And while reports earlier claimed that it was his 8-year-old son Taimur Ali Khan who took the actor to the hospital, Saif’s medical report has now gone viral on the internet showing that he was admitted by a ‘friend’ named Afsar Zaidi.
Saif’s medical report, which the hospital submitted to the Bandra police, shows that the actor was “brought to the hospital” by one Afsar Zaidi, and his relation with the patient has been listed as ‘Friend’.
The report also shows that the actor was attacked at 2:30 am, but was taken to the hospital at 4:11 am.
Saif sustained five injuries
The report also lists the injuries and wounds sustained by the actor due to the attack. It states that the actor suffered a laceration on his back, along with cuts and wounds on the wrist, side of neck and shoulder.
An elbow abrasion was also detected, according to the medical form.
Saif underwent a nearly two-hour long surgery at Lilavati Hospital, which included surgically removing a piece of knife lodged in his back, stitching up his wounds and plastic surgery.
Saif’s friend denies taking him to hospital
Meanwhile, according to a report in India Today, Saif’s friend Afsar Zaidi denied taking the actor to the hospital, and said that he only filled the form much later as Taimur was too young to do it himself.
He reportedly said that he received a call from the Pataudi family at around 3:30 am to reach Lilavati Hospital where Saif had been already admitted. He then reached the hospital by 4 am and completed the formalities by filling up the form.
Saif’s attacked, identified as Mohammed Shehzad, is currently in police custody, and he had entered the actor’s house with an intention to steal. His fingerprints reportedly matched with the ones found inside the actor’s house.
