Kolkata: Paying tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 128 th birth anniversary, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that ‘Netaji had been a victim of conspiracy’.
“It is very unfortunate that people of India don’t know what happened to Netaji in the end. We know his birth anniversary but none of us are aware about his death. After Trinamool Congress (TMC) came to power, the state government has 64 classified files of Netaji which we have already declassified and common people can watch,” said Mamata.
The West Bengal Chief Minister further mentioned that Netaji was a true pathfinder.
“Netaji was the true leader and pathfinder. He only started the Planning Commission which is now stopped. He believed in unity in diversity and formed the Indian National Army,” added Mamata.
On the other hand, Governor CV Ananda Bose, visited the ancestral house of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Kolkata and paid tribute to him.
“On this day, we honor the indomitable spirit and courage of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. His unwavering dedication to India’s freedom and the values of patriotism and courage continue to inspire us all. Let’s celebrate Parakram Diwas and continue his legacy of strength and resilience,” said Bose. At Red Road in central Kolkata, leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari also paid floral tribute to Netaji.
