Presently the cyclone as a Western Disturbance is situated at lower tropospheric level in and around Punjab and this cyclonic storm is spread over Haryana and its adjoining areas at tropospheric level. There is a cyclonic circulation over southeast Rajasthan and its lower subtropical levels. Another Western Disturbance is active as a trough with westerly winds over the central and upper tropical regions.

There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry. There may be rain with strong winds in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The effect of this weather can also be seen in other states of South India like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha.

Dense fog may occur in the morning and evening in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Odisha and Western Uttar Pradesh till January 26.
