Emirates launches A350-900 Airbus in India: UAE’s leading air carrier Emirates has launched the Airbus A350-900 in two metro cities of India, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. After a delay of several months, these services will start from January 26, 2025. Known for its advanced technology, passenger comfort and fuel efficiency, the A350-900 will now replace the aging Boeing 777-200LR in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Emirates operates several daily flights to Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Currently, Mumbai is Emirates’ largest station in India.

Five Airbus 350-900 flights will operate in Mumbai

Emirates operates five daily flights to Mumbai. This includes four flights of Boeing 777-300ER/777-200LR and one flight of the world’s largest passenger aircraft – the Airbus A380-800. Now from January 26, 2025, the all-new A350-900 aircraft introduced by Emirates will operate on EK 502/503 in place of the 777-200LR.

Flight EK 502 will depart from Dubai at 1.15 pm local time and reach Mumbai at 5.50 pm. The return flight EK 503 will depart from Mumbai at 7.20 pm, reaching Dubai at 9.05 pm local time.

Will reach Dubai from Ahmedabad in two and a half hours

Emirates operates 9x weekly flights to Ahmedabad. Currently, EK 538/539 flights operated by Boeing 777-200LRs are available. Another 2x weekly flight operated by Boeing 777-300ER/777-200LR. EK 538/539 will be replaced by A350-900 from January 26, 2025. While the other 2x weekly flight will be operated on Saturday and Sunday on 777-300ER/777-200LR. Dubai flight EK 538 will take off from Dubai at 10.50 pm local time and land in Ahmedabad at 2.55 am. Whereas from Ahmedabad to Dubai it will reach in 2.20 hours. It will take off from Ahmedabad at 4.25 am and land in Dubai at 6.15 am.

Emirates’ first premium economy flight in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad will operate the company’s first premium economy product with Emirates’ A350-900 aircraft. With a capacity of 312 passengers, this aircraft has 32 business class seats and 21 premium economy class seats. Whereas 259 seats are of economy class. The Airbus A350-900 is one of the largest and most advanced aircraft globally. Its advanced features enhance passenger comfort and operational efficiency. It reduces fuel consumption and carbon emissions by 25 percent compared to older aircraft.
