Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in an “Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in MP” in Pune on Wednesday. During the session, he held one-to-one and round table meetings with industrialists and investors, aiming to attract them to his state.

Yadav highlighted that his government is continuously working towards the industrialisation of the state. “I am happy that the MP government is continuously working for the industrialisation of the state through all its departments. Through the Regional Industry Conclaves held in the state so far, we have received investment proposals worth around Rs 4.5 lakh crore. Around 3 lakh people would get employment opportunities with the help of this,” he said.

He added that a Global Investor Summit will be held on February 24 in the MP and that it is his responsibility to invite the major industries to the summit. He emphasised that he was visiting Pune for this purpose.

“We are going to hold a Global Investor Summit on February 24 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, so we must invite the big houses to the summit and work on all kinds of possibilities. I visited various cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata for the same. After Mumbai, Pune is a big place in Maharashtra, where big players or investors from many sectors meet, thereby we will put our policies in front of them, aiming they should become a part of our industrialisation campaign. I am going to invite them and hope for good results,” the CM said.

Yadav also stated that MP has always had good relations with Maharashtra. “We hope our relationship becomes more strong, especially with Punekars. We came to Pune with the hope that people will show their interest in investing in various sectors like automobile, solar energy, mining department, dairy, tourism, etc in MP. We are getting more investment from Pune in comparison to other cities like Bengaluru and Chennai and even states like Gujarat and Rajasthan. I’m happy with the warm welcome by the Punekars,” he added.
