The Waluj MIDC police have booked a one-sided jilted lover for threatening a girl and her parents to marry him. The accused has been identified as Piyush Swami Bhagwat (23, Begumpura).
Police said, the victim is a 19-year-old is a resident of Bajajnagar and studies in a Pharmacy college in the city. She met Piyush around a year back through some common friends. Piyush started calling the girl frequently and their friendship developed. They later started meeting frequently and Piyush once day proposed her. He visited several places in the city and even clicked photographs together. Piyush also took her pan card, school leaving certificate and marks memo from her ant kept it with him. Meanwhile, he told the girl that his working in a company and has a rich family background. He told her that he wanted to marry her.
However, the girl came to know that he had given false information about him and hence, she started ignoring him. Still, Piyush used to follow her and visited even to her college. He used to call her on phone and threaten her to marry him. He also called her parents and threatened them that he will kill the girl and them if they do not give permission for their marriage.
Fed up with constant mental torture from Piyush, the girl went to the Waluj MIDC police station and lodged a complaint against him. The police have registered a case and are further investing.
