Washington: Dignitaries from almost all the countries of the world were present during the President’s first address after the swearing-in of President Donald Trump. At the time of Trump’s speech, India’s representative Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar was seen wearing a “Jodhpuri coat” and sitting in the first row to the right of Trump in a seat near Aisle.
It is well known that at any official function the name of the person occupying the seat, their title and the name of the country are ‘pinned-up’ in advance. In this, the seat given to External Affairs Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar as India’s representative in the front row on the right side of the US President during his address in the corridor says a lot.
It has been a tradition in India that during such swearing-in ceremonies, if the Prime Minister is unable to attend, he himself sends a special representative. In this way S. Jaishankar had attended that function. He also gave a congratulatory letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to President Trump.
After the ceremony, Jaishankar wrote on the T platform, “Honored to be present as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s representative during Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony and subsequent address in Washington DC.”
D.T. On January 20, First Vice President J. D. There will be a swearing-in ceremony, after which newly appointed President Donald Trump will take the oath of office and then also give a speech. Both times, Jaishankar sat in the first row, to Trump’s right, next to the aisle. He said, “This is the honor of India.” Generally, the importance of the country is reflected in the place to which its representative is given.
