Mahareshtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other high-ranking government officials, the Maharashtra government signed 18 memorandums of understanding with investment proposals totaling Rs 4,99,321 crore on Tuesday in the areas of steel, metals, renewable energy, infrastructure, cement, lithium-ion batteries, and solar modules.
The signing took place on the fringes of the World Economic Forum summit in Davos. For the Green Transformation of Maharashtra, JSW will invest a record Rs 3 lakh crore of the Rs 4,99,321 crore.
The Memorandum of Understanding signed today opens the door for Maharashtra’s all-encompassing development and progress, Fadnavis stated.

In his post on X, Fadnavis stated: ‘I am extremely pleased to see the historic signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Maharashtra government and JSW Group, which will create 10,000 jobs in the areas of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Gadchiroli, and Nagpur.’

Memorandums of Understanding with Reliance, Essar and Bharat Forge

Essar will invest Rs 8,000 crore in green energy in collaboration with Blue Energy in order to generate 2,000 jobs. EV, steel, and defense will all receive Rs 5,250 crore from the Kalyani Group. 4,000 new jobs will result from it. In the presence of Fadnavis and Amit Kalyani, vice-chairman and joint MD of Bharat Forge Limited, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed.
