The official Group D notification, in accordance with CEN No. 08/2024, has been issued by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). The railway posts 32438 job openings in total. The deadline for applications is February 22, and candidates can apply online tomorrow, January 23.

Eligibility criteria:
A diploma or degree in engineering will not be accepted as a substitute for Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) or ITI for Level-1 positions.
Graduate Act Apprenticeship cannot replace Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA).
Candidates awaiting the results of their final exams for the required minimum educational or technical qualifications are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit: 18 to 36 years as of 2025.
Application fees:
PwBD, female, transgender, ex-servicemen, SC, ST, minority, and EBC candidates (refundable after CBT, minus bank charges): Rs. 250
Other applicants (Rs. 400 refundable after CBT, minus bank charges): Rs. 500
How to apply:
Step 1: Go to rrbcdg.gov.in, the official website.
Step 2: Click on ‘New Registration’.
Step 3: Register for the test by filling out the registration form and providing the necessary details, including your name, date of birth, mother’s and father’s names, Aadhaar number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of graduation, mobile number, and email address.
Step 4: Following registration, candidates must use an OTP to confirm their email address and mobile number.
Step 5: Enter your password and registration number to access the main page.
Step 6: Complete Part I and Part II of the application
Step 7: After filling out the application, candidates are sent to the payment page where they can pay with an offline challan, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
Step 8: Examinees were required to select the language.
Step 9: Applicants needed to complete the information on a legitimate photo ID card.
Step 10: To receive the fees returned, provide your bank information.
Step 11: Applicants had to submit scanned copies of their signatures and photos in the format specified, and SC/ST applicants had to upload their document.
Selection process:
The selection process will be based on Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Computer-Based Tests (CBT), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination (ME).
Exam pattern:
The exam will be administered online. One hundred questions will be posed to candidates on:
Twenty-five questions for twenty-five marks in general science
25 questions worth 25 marks in mathematics
Reasoning and General Intelligence: 30 questions worth 30 points
Current Affairs and General Awareness: 30 questions worth 30 points
For inaccurate responses in the CBT, there will be a deduction in score. For every incorrect response, one-third of the points awarded for each question will be subtracted.
