A new western disturbance is going to become active, due to which the weather will change on the night of January 21 and rain is expected in 10 states including Delhi-NCR for the next 2 days. There is continuous snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, due to which cold is being felt even in Delhi due to icy winds.

 

Chance of snowfall in Himachal Pradesh today, tomorrow. Weather will change due to stormy winds in Haryana and Rajasthan. There may be heavy rain with thunderstorm in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan. The minimum temperature in Gujarat-Rajasthan may decrease by 2 to 3 degrees.

According to the IMD, the Western Disturbance is active as a cyclonic circulation over North Pakistan and the lower troposphere. Cyclonic circulation is forming over western Rajasthan. Another Western Disturbance is going to be active at 5.8 km above sea level. Under its influence, there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region today, tomorrow and the next day from January 21 to 23. Hail may fall along with thunder and lightning.

There will be light to moderate rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep till January 23.

 

There is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, East Rajasthan and Western Uttar Pradesh on January 22 and 23. A cyclonic circulation is strengthening in the mid-tropical level over the Gulf of Mannar and adjacent Sri Lanka. Due to its effect, north-easterly winds are blowing on the coast of Tamil Nadu. There will be light to moderate rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep till January 23.
