Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the second part of its resolution manifesto. In this, many important announcements have been made for the youth, unorganized sector workers and needy sections. Former Union Minister and MP Anurag Thakur, while unveiling the manifesto, said that if BJP government is formed in Delhi, many welfare schemes including free education from KG to PG will be implemented.
Provision of free education from KG to PG
BJP has promised that if their government is formed in Delhi, needy students will be provided free education from KG to PG in government institutions. This step will be a big step towards making education accessible to the economically weaker sections.
Help for youth in competitive exams
BJP has announced to provide financial assistance of ₹ 15,000 to the youth for the preparation of competitive examinations. Also, travel and application fees for the examination will also be reimbursed twice.
Special assistance for Scheduled Caste students
BJP Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme has been announced. Under this, a stipend of ₹1,000 per month will be given to Scheduled Caste students preparing for technical and professional courses. Anurag Thakur also said that BJP has provided help to lakhs of Scheduled Caste students under the Modi government, while the current government has made relatively less efforts in this direction.
Welfare schemes for auto and taxi drivers
Anurag Thakur said that the BJP government will set up a welfare board for auto and taxi drivers. Under this:
- Life Insurance: Life insurance up to ₹10 lakh.
- Accident Insurance: Insurance up to ₹5 lakh.
- Education Assistance: Provision of scholarships for their children.
He also said that the present government has not taken any concrete steps for this sector.
Schemes for Domestic Helpers
BJP government will establish Domestic Helper Welfare Board. In this, welfare steps will be taken for workers like gardeners, sweepers, and domestic helpers.
- Life Insurance: Cover up to ₹10 lakh.
- Accident Insurance: Assistance up to ₹5 lakh.
- Scholarship: Financial assistance for the education of their children.
Loan without guarantee to street vendors
BJP has promised to give loans to 4 lakh street vendors without any guarantee. This will help in making small traders self-reliant.
SIT formed to investigate scams of Aam Aadmi Party
Anurag Thakur said that if BJP government is formed, the scams of Aam Aadmi Party will be investigated through Special Investigation Team (SIT). He alleged that the present government has committed massive corruption in liquor scam, oxygen crisis, and other issues.
Women and the poor were included in the promises of the first part.
The first part of the manifesto also made several promises for women and the poor:
- ₹2,500 monthly assistance to every woman.
- Gas cylinders for ₹500 to poor women.
- Increase in pension amount.
- Food facility for ₹ 5 in Atal canteen near the slum.
- Promise to implement Ayushman Bharat scheme in the first cabinet meeting.
These promises of BJP clearly show their priorities and plans in the elections.
