A large number of professionals in India are looking for jobs this year, but the search has become more difficult than ever, according to a new study by a leading social media network designed for professionals.

69 percent of Indian HR professionals believe that finding the right talent for a role has become more challenging. According to research, there will be many changes in the way professionals apply for and get jobs in 2025.

49 percent job seekers are applying for more jobs than before but are getting fewer responses. The situation is challenging for employers also.

More than 27 percent of HR professionals spend 3 to 5 hours a day reviewing applications. 55 percent said that less than 50 percent of the job applications they receive meet all the criteria.

According to experts, it has become difficult to get a job in the market. Indians need to be more thoughtful in their job search.

The importance of AI skills will continue to increase. In future it will be required in every work and it will be required in most of the works.

Aircraft maintenance engineer, robotics technician and closing manager are three of the fastest growing jobs in India.

60 percent of professionals in India are ready to work in any new industry or field. 39 percent plan to learn new skills this year to increase opportunities.

22,010 candidates participated in this survey between 27 November and 16 December 2024. While 8035 global HR professionals participated between November 28 and December 18, 2024.

The survey was conducted in the UK, US, France, Germany, India, Spain, Brazil, Ireland, Netherlands, Singapore, Japan, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Australia, Indonesia and Italy.
