A mysterious disease has taken the lives of 17 people so far in Badhal village of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The investigation into the reasons behind these deaths is ongoing. The administration has confirmed the presence of pesticides in the water of the suspicious spring (stepwell) and it has been completely sealed. This incident has shocked both the village and the administration.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Kotranka subdivision) Dil Mir sealed the affected area after the presence of pesticides in the spring water.
