Indian megastar Amitabh Bachchan minted a massive profit after he sold his uber-luxurious apartment located in Oshiwara suburbs of Mumbai for a whopping Rs 83 crore. It is to be noted that he had purchased the same property for Rs 31 crore nearly four years ago.
According to Square Yards, the duplex apartment is located in the upscale residential project, The Atlantis by Crystal Group, in Oshiwara. Big B had purchased the property back in April 2021 for Rs 31 crore.
In January, the megastar sold the same property for a staggering Rs 83 crore, thus registering a mammoth 168 per cent profit.
The sale transaction incurred a stamp duty of Rs 4.98 crore and registration charges of Rs 30,000.
The swanky duplex apartment reportedly spans over a built-up area of 5,704 sq ft and a carpet area of 5,185.62 sq ft, and it is situated on the 27th and 28th floor. It comes with a sprawling terrace and six mechanised car parking spaces.
It is to be noted that this is the same property that Big B had leased to Kriti Sanon in November 2021 for two years. The actress paid a rent of Rs 10 lakh per month and a deposit of Rs 60 lakh.
In 2024, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan purchased 10 apartments in Oberoi Realty’s premium residential project, Eternia, located in the central suburb of the city, Mulund. The Bachchans reportedly have investments amounting to Rs 100 crore in real estate.
On the work front, Big B will be next seen in the film, Section 84, which has been both written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. He also has the second installment of the blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD in the pipeline, in which he plays the role of the cursed and immortal Mahabharata character, Ashwatthama. The franchise also features Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in lead roles.
