Mumbai: A fatal accident occurred during paragliding in Goa yesterday. In which a girl and the paraglider operator died on the spot after the rope of the paraglider broke and hit the rock below. After this incident, the police have registered a case of culpable homicide against the owner of the paragliding company and are investigating.
After this incident, the police sent the bodies of both of them for postmortem. The deceased have been identified as Shivani Dable (27) of Pune and glider operator Suman Nepali (26).
Giving more information about the entire incident, an officer of Mandrem Police Station said that Shivani had come to Goa with a friend. On Saturday, he arranged for paragliding from a Nepali operator and took off from Mount Keti. The glider was flying at low altitude when it suddenly collapsed. As a result, both Shivani and Nepali came down at high speed and both hit the rock from above.
Both of them suffered serious injuries in this incident. The people present there immediately informed the police about the incident and called an ambulance and took both of them to Goa Medical College. During this time the doctors present there declared both of them dead. Today the postmortem of both the bodies was done.
In this regard, local SP Tikam Singh Verma said that after this incident, a case has been registered against the owner of the paragliding company in Madrem police station under section 105 (murder of a human being) of the Indian Penal Code and further action is being taken. . taken. Verma said that these people deliberately allowed the operator to go paragliding with tourists without proper license or necessary safety measures to earn more. So both died.
