Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025 took place on Sunday. Sawan Barwal won the half Marathon in men’s category with the gun-time of one hour four minutes and 37 seconds. Harmanjot Singh bagged the second position with the gun-time of one hour six minutes and three seconds, while Kartik Karkera secured the third spot. He finished the race in one hour seven minutes and 20 seconds.

If we talk about the women’s category, Stanzin Dolkar secured the first position with the gun-time of one hour 25 minutes and 51 seconds, while Skarma Idong Lanze secured the second spot with the timings of one hour 27 minutes and three seconds. Tashi Ladon took one hour 29 minutes and 30 seconds to complete the half-marathon to bag the third place.

Notably, the half Marathon is of 21 km and in the full Marathon runners have to complete the distance of 42 km.

Meanwhile, the full marathon is currently underway. Notably, the half Marathon started from Worli, while the full Marathon commenced from the Chhattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). Full Marathon runners will pass through many of the city’s iconic locations such as Flora Fountain, Marine Drive, Chowpatty, Haji Ali, Mahim Church, and the Bandra–Worli Sea Link.

On Saturday, Legendary athlete Mo Farah has shared a special piece of advice for Indian athletes aspiring to excel in distance running. Speaking at a press conference for the Tata Mumbai Marathon, Farah praised Indian athletes for their discipline and eagerness to learn.

Farah, who is visiting India for the first time as the ambassador of the Tata Mumbai Marathon, emphasized the importance of learning from successful East African runners.

The Tata Mumbai Marathon is an annual marathon event that takes place on the third sunday of every year.
