Gupt Navratri is worshiped with special rules from the first date of Magh Shukla to Navami Tithi, which is very important for the fulfillment of special wishes. This Navratri is mainly celebrated in the states of North India like Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Bengal. On this occasion, along with the worship of Mother Bhagwati, nine Durgas and ten Mahavidyas are also worshipped.
Importance of Gupt Navratri:
During Gupt Navratri, devotees worship Goddess Durga, Kali, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Gayatri, Parvati, Sita, Radha and Ganga. Through this sadhana, they try to overcome all the obstacles in life by chanting mantras, doing penance and meditation. Sadhaks also worship various goddesses for Mahavidya Tantra Sadhana, such as Kali, Tara Devi, Tripura Sundari, Bhuvaneshwari, Mata Chhinnamasta, Tripura Bhairavi, Maa Dhrumavati, Mata Baglamukhi, Matangi and Kamala Devi.
Gupt Navratri 2025:
This year the Gupt Navratri of Magh month will start from January 30, 2025 and will continue till February 7, 2025.
Ghatasthapana time:
- Morning time: 9:25 am to 10:46 am
- Afternoon time: 12:13 pm to 12:56 pm
Method of worship:
- Wake up in the morning and take a bath and pour Ganga water to purify the place of worship.
- Light a lamp in the home temple.
- Anoint Maa Durga with Ganga water.
- Offer Akshat, vermilion and red flowers to the mother and offer fruits and sweets as Prasad.
- Light incense and lamps and recite Durga Chalisa and then perform the Mother’s Aarti.
- Offer food to the mother, keep in mind that only sattvik things should be offered.
