New Delhi: BYD (Build Your Dreams) made a bold statement at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi with the India debut of the BYD Sealion 7, an all-electric coupe-SUV. As bookings commence with a token amount of ₹70,000, the Sealion 7 marks BYD’s fourth offering in India, joining the Seal, Atto 3, and eMax 7 models. Deliveries are set to begin in March, with pricing expected to be announced beforehand.

Customers booking by February 17 enjoy exclusive benefits, including a ₹70,000 discount, a 7-year warranty, and a free 7kW AC charger. Positioned above the Seal sedan, the Sealion 7 is expected to rival models like the Kia EV6, setting a new benchmark in the premium EV segment.

The Sealion 7 boasts a MIDC-certified range of up to 567 km and is offered in two variants: Premium and Performance. Both variants feature an 82.5kWh LFP Blade battery, with the Premium variant producing 313hp and 380Nm in a rear-wheel-drive configuration, while the Performance variant delivers an impressive 530hp and 690Nm via all-wheel drive. With a 0-100 kmph time of 4.5 seconds, BYD claims the Sealion 7’s electric motor is the fastest in mass production.

A standout in design, the Sealion 7 features Ocean-X styling, a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, connected car technology, and luxurious amenities such as ventilated seats, a panoramic glass roof, and an ADAS suite. The SUV offers 520 litres of boot space, expandable to 1,789 litres.
