CCTV: Bike Stolen In Broad Daylight In Jabalpur; Frustrated Victim To Approach SP Over Police Inaction | X
Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A student’s bike was stolen in broad daylight from the parking lot of Jabalpur’s Indian Coffee House in the busy Sadar area.
The incident is said to have taken place on Tuesday (January 14), however, CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced on social media which is circulating widely.
The theft was captured on the CCTV camera installed in the locality of the incident, which shows an unidentified man riding away with the bike in the presence of several people. The CCTV footage clearly shows the thief’s face.

According to information, the victim has been identified as Kushal Verma, a resident of Sheetla Mai area. He had reported that his bike, bearing the registration number MP 20 MK 5290, was stolen on Tuesday.
Frustrated MP Students’ Union to file complaint with SP
It is said that Kushal immediately informed the Cantt Police Station about the theft. However, the police neither registered an FIR nor showed any interest in investigating the case. Four days had passed since the incident, but no progress was made in the case.
Frustrated by the police’s inactivity, the MP Students’ Union (MPSU) has decided to escalate the matter by filing a complaint with the Superintendent of Police (SP).
The theft occurred in a crowded area during daytime, yet no significant efforts have been made to trace the culprit yet. The students’ organization has criticized the police’s negligence and stated that such incidents encourage criminals.
