Vinod Kambli, who was once Sachin’s teammate and made a name for himself in international cricket, is often in the news regarding his health. Some time ago he was also admitted to the hospital. When he was taken for treatment and he is still unable to walk, the question is whether legends like Sunil Gavaskar or Kapil Dev are still fit and fine or what happened to Kambli?

Vinod Kambli and fitness

Many people believe that Kambli himself is responsible for his fitness and this condition. Due to bad lifestyle and excessive drinking, his condition has become such that it has become difficult for him to even walk. He has been surrounded by many types of diseases.

Kambli became home of disease

Kambli is suffering from diseases like heart attack, urine problem, brain clot. Born on January 18, 1972 in Mumbai, Kambli looks quite old at the age of just 53, while his teammates and senior players today are over 70 or even 66 years of age, but he has maintained his fitness by working out for long hours.

One teammate is fitter than Kambli

Veteran batsman Sachin Tendulkar, known as the God of Cricket, and Vinod Kambli are childhood friends. Sachin is now 51 years old, but looks fit and youthful in comparison to Vinod. Sachin does yoga and exercise regularly. Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sourav Ganguly is 52 years old. Sourav Ganguly is very fit even at this age. Cardio and exercise are included in his daily routine. Besides, he also follows the diet plan well.

Amazing fitness of senior players

Even at the age of 75, veteran player Sunil Gavaskar is seen commentating for hours. Even on the field, he is seen standing for a long time talking about the match report. During an interview, the former captain said, ‘Now I spend at least an hour in the gym. I never went to the gym when I played. Today, I walk and run on the treadmill regularly. Veteran Kapil Dev, who won India the first Cricket World Cup in 1983, has dedicated himself to the game even at the age of 66. He also underwent angioplasty in 2020.

From here Kapil became more conscious about his fitness. After this, in an interview he said, ‘I do not eat red meat and go to the golf course every other day, so that I can stay fit.’ Addressing the youth during an event, Kapil said that to stay fit, you have to know your body and move accordingly. Former cricketer Ravi Shastri is about 9 years older than Vinod Kambli. At the age of 62, Shastri is seen doing commentary with great agility and working for long hours.
