Israel vs Hamas War Update: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his Cabinet on Friday that an agreement has been reached with (Hamas) for the release of prisoners held in the Gaza Strip. Earlier, the Prime Minister’s Office had said that the last-minute obstacles to the ceasefire proposal presented by the Prime Minister have been removed.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu said he was going to call a meeting of his Security Council this evening (Friday).
Netanyahu further said that Israel is committed to achieving all war goals. All the hostages kept in it will be recovered dead or alive.
On October 7, 2023, terrorists from Gaza killed about 1200 Israeli civilians and captured about 250 civilians. Since then, a bloody war has been going on between Israel and Hamas. More than 46,000 Palestinians have lost their lives. Many human rights groups have accused Israel of war crimes regarding this war. Which Israel has been continuously denying.
Even in this situation, this statement of the Israeli Prime Minister (on the Gaza war) gives hope that some agreement will be reached. At the same time, thousands of Palestinians who had fled their homes will now be able to return to their homes again. The Gaza Strip will come alive again.
Some obstacles arose before reaching this agreement (ceasefire agreement) on Friday. Hamas also gave some reasons (excuses) for this. But now they have been removed. The troops sent by Biden and Trump are believed to have played an important role in the ceasefire talks in Qatar.
Earlier, Israel had also accused Hamas. But now the allegations and counter-allegations seem to have stopped. And if time is sufficient, this ceasefire can be implemented and the hostages can be freed. Such a ray of hope is visible. However, before this Israel has also captured the Philadelphia Corridor of the Gaza Strip bordering Egypt.
Some analysts believe Trump may have considered ending the war and handing over hostages before Hamas took power on January 20. Because they feared that Trump would collapse (not release the hostages) after he took power. Therefore Hamas had no choice but to bow down.
